Diesel / GL135 · Red Teaming as a Methodological Test

The case connects political-economic analysis with failure memory: material and legal constraints, countermodels and register errors lead to concrete methodological and implementation rules.

Historical ROS FULL case with a ROS 1.6.1 baseline; adversarial revision 1.1 dated October 10, 2026 and subsequent methodological revision through 1.7.1.

01

Research Question & Source Substrate

The US license covering Russian diesel is distinguished from supply capability, market reaction and political interpretation. The text of GL135 is confirmed from a primary source; specific volumes, revenues and causal effects require separate observations.

02

Initial Adversarial Review

Red teaming calls for key shocks and endogenous actor responses, export/service routes, countervailing revenue channels and operational LEVEL 2 rules. These give rise to coverage, feasibility, identification, impact and artifact-quality contracts in 1.7.0.

03

Review of the Review

Not all criticism holds: discount compression and price caps are not inherently incompatible. Reserve releases must be calculated net of prior commitments and by product. Preconditions, counterexamples and disposition remain part of the audit trail.

04

Canonical State Instead of Patch Appendices

After the model revision, principal registers in the older report remained incomplete. QG-RS-01 therefore requires a materialized active state and complete registers derived from one fingerprint; QG-RT-01 checks the handling of adversarial findings.

05

Findings & Outstanding Work

Normative methodology and the local reference implementation were improved. The older market artifact has neither been automatically repaired nor empirically validated as a result. It remains a visible negative reference case and requires separate register compilation for further use.

Related outputs

The website documents the methodological case and selected structural implications, not the complete research state. The release audit records QG-RS-01 FAIL for the old report; the 40/40 synthetic release tests do not verify actual deliveries, prices, political intentions or activation of the external runtime.
