ROS / Nea Polis

Trieste · Urban Systems

City, port, karst and tram are considered as interconnected, hierarchical systems—not a loose collection of tourist attractions.

Documented migration of a reference ResearchUnit to ROS 1.2.0.

01

Research Area

Urban history, port logistics, geology, mobility, regional access and drainage form distinct subsystems. A technical detail object cannot substitute for coverage of the entire city.

02

Temporal Separation

Changes to tram operations belong in time-dependent operational states. Historical geometries must not be reconstructed solely from today's map.

03

Verifiable Transitions

Sea and city, flysch and karst, as well as adhesion and cable-assisted traction provide concrete system interfaces for field observation.

04

Derivation

The same ResearchUnit produces a baseline, compiled master, field guide and geo outputs. The reader receives an approved PDF snapshot; analysis and iteration remain on the analysis device.

The website presents an application of the method and summaries. It publishes neither the complete Trieste register nor current operating or travel advice. This documented v1.2 state remains a historical reference; no completed real-world test of the current ROS version is evidenced here.

Documentation basis: ROS v1.2 Straubing Test (2026-08-27). Source type and specific verification limits are recorded in the provenance register; citing a source does not independently validate every claim.
