Automotive Lab / Compendium

Interactive engineering compendium for automotive technology and motorsport: ten completed modules and 85 main chapters connect fundamental physics, components, coupled vehicle systems, measurement and diagnostics.

01

Problem

Initial situation

Individual metrics do not explain an entire vehicle system. Shared quantities, model assumptions and interactions must remain traceable across rotation, lubrication, braking, vehicle dynamics, tires, drivetrain, chassis, aerodynamics, thermal behavior and diagnostics.

02

Constraints

Boundary conditions

  • Educational models rather than vehicle-specific approvals or safety evidence
  • Keep units, reference quantities, boundary conditions and model limits explicit
  • Clearly distinguish completed Core v1 from post-core expansion
  • Local vanilla pages with controlled PWA deployment
03

Solution

Solution

Ten modules combine explanations, original SVGs and interactive educational models. Quarter-car models, multi-node thermal networks and model-based diagnostics extend the fundamentals; cross-references connect tires, chassis, aerodynamics, drivetrain, brakes and thermal systems.

04

Architecture

Architecture

  • Vanilla HTML/CSS/JS
  • Fundamental physics → components → subsystems → vehicle system
  • SVG diagrams and interactive educational models
  • Shared module navigation and cross-references
  • Quarter-Car / Thermal networks / Model-based diagnostics
  • PWA manifest and deterministic offline release
  • C118 as the frozen Core v1 reference

Result

Result

Core v1 was completed with collection C118 on September 8, 2026: ten modules and 85 main chapters from rotational mechanics through measurement and diagnostics. The locally and live-observed PWA uses release ID f576a73da7e3c583 and declares 23 prevalidated offline assets. A repeat full installation/offline run and substantive acceptance of all models were not part of this website update.
