Wave Lab
Interactive physics lab with completed Core v1: ten modules and 100 chapters progress from oscillations through waves, acoustics, optics and electromagnetic fields to radiation and measurement.
Problem
Initial situation
Sound, light, radio and radiation often appear as separate subjects. Yet they share questions about states, coupling, propagation, energy flux, boundary conditions and observable quantities. Without that common structure, similar phenomena and the limits of their models are hard to recognize.
Constraints
Boundary conditions
- Make physical quantities, units, assumptions and validity ranges of educational models visible
- Apply wave and photon descriptions appropriately to the question under study
- Explain simple attenuation models only within their assumptions; no approval for real shielding or radiation-safety decisions
- Link interactive parameter changes to traceable model consequences
- Distinguish completed Core v1 from frozen global release candidate and future specialist branches
Solution
Solution
A continuous learning path develops spatial waves from local oscillations, then proceeds through superposition, modes and interfaces to acoustics, optics and electromagnetic fields. Radiation, matter interactions, ionizing processes and measurement statistics complete the chain. Each chapter connects phenomenon, model, simulation and measurement; interactive controls show the consequences of changed assumptions.
Architecture
Architecture
- Static vanilla HTML/CSS/JS with original SVG visualizations
- M01–M04: Oscillations, wave fundamentals, superposition/modes and boundaries/media
- M05–M08: Acoustics, optics, electromagnetic fields and propagation
- M09–M10: Radiation/matter and ionizing radiation with detection
- Ten modules with ten chapters each and a shared dynamic-system model
- PWA manifest and service worker with C127 cache; offline operation not retested here
Result
Result
Core v1 is complete in content with ten modules and 100 chapters. Local reference C127 dated September 22, 2026 is frozen as GLOBAL RC, not declared a stable final release. The local RC report records zero open findings within the defined test scope, 218/218 present PWA cache assets and 154 state×viewport test cases; these tests were not rerun for the site update. On September 24, 2026, the public home page, final module and service worker returned HTTP 200; the home page and cache reported C127. The FYI describes the educational concept. Neither software checks nor site accessibility establish independent scientific validation of all educational models.
