Energy Comparison · Verification, Not Fuel-Economy Promises

A documented methodological ROS case: clarify the system boundary, correct unequal terminal states, distinguish conclusions by definition from dynamical proof and make unknowns visible.

ROS v1.7.2 FULL ANALYZE, M0.6.7 baseline, assessment as of October 15, 2026. An editorial continuation dated October 16 separates the later M1a.0.2 specification.

01

System Boundary Before Conclusion

Onboard energy from defined initial states is not total energy. The original platform research and later A/B comparison remain separate branches.

02

Correcting the Comparison

The Mission Equivalence Gate replaces unequal terminal conditions with the same nominal spatial-kinematic state. It neither enforces identical arrival times nor proves reachability.

03

Adversarial Verification of Evidence

Balance-sheet identity, dynamical determinacy, existence/uniqueness, reachability and consumption mapping are separate proof obligations. REACHED, UNREACHABLE, NUMERICALLY_FAILED and UNDETERMINED must not be conflated.

04

Result and Next Steps

FULL_CONDITIONAL: ΔQ_onboard remains UNDETERMINED; neither variant has been shown to be superior. M1a.0.2 later provides a limited generic verification core, not retroactive validation of the M0.6.7 baseline.

05

Make ROS Visible Without Overstating It

The case documents corrections to terminology and comparisons, revision history and explicit open issues. No controlled evaluation establishes that ROS outperforms other methods. The ROS proposal is not an implemented HA platform.

06

Separate Continuation, October 18–20

The subsequent master synthesis identifies H-A-ATT-01 as unresolved attitude/rotational dynamics. Its separate scientific cross-check, FULL-SCOPE-REVIEW / FULL_PASS_NOT_ATTESTED, assesses the overall synthesis rather than rerunning that same baseline assessment. This extends the research presentation without altering its original FULL_CONDITIONAL status or M0.6.7.

Related outputs

No newly compiled canonical EventHistory or validated FlowchartBuild. The original 1.7.2 run had limited source materialization. Local hash checks and later method tests represent separate evidence states. No field measurements, complete simulation or general ROS effectiveness study. Original documents and platform parameters are not published.
