Trajectory & Intercept Lab

Educational lab on motion, controllability and predictability: five comparative regimes make relationships among reachable states, observation, uncertainty and reaction time visible.

01

Problem

Initial situation

An observed flight path does not determine the future. Control freedom, limited resources, target assumptions and incomplete observations change the space of possible states. The lab studies these relationships as a control-theory learning question, not an assessment of real weapon-system performance.

02

Constraints

Boundary conditions

  • Educational models, not real-world deployment planning, performance rankings or safety evidence
  • No classified parameters or complete differential-game solver
  • Distinguish classification, target and state uncertainty
  • Do not equate geometric co-reachability with robust causal interceptability or probability
  • Document frozen C069/RC7 separately from unimplemented research branches

Solution

Solution

The educational path covers five architectural comparison regimes for multicopters, ballistic motion, cruise/loitering, hypersonic glide and hypersonic cruise. A shared comparison view retains distinct system and phase semantics; the M01 regime explicitly distinguishes BRV and ABV. Reachable states and their temporal evolution replace the idea of a single extrapolated line. As in Meteo Lab, the path proceeds from physical models through observation and inference to the limits of predictability; this connection is thematic, not a demonstrated ROS application.

Architecture

Architecture

  • Static vanilla HTML/CSS/JS output with original SVGs
  • Revision 4 / HCM_REV3-A10: shared state, dynamics, reachability and inference model
  • Class-specific adapters preserve different physical assumptions
  • Five comparison regimes with explicit dual M01-BRV/ABV semantics
  • Separate notions for reachable states at an instant and over a time interval
  • Visualization reads model results; it does not define physics
  • Five modules, 32 learning units and a global comparison lab per RC manifest
  • Separate research branch: Formal Compendium Rev. 4.1 dated October 20, 2026; no new software freeze or proof of full implementation
  • PWA manifest and service worker; offline operation not retested here

C069 / RC7 was frozen as a release candidate on September 24, 2026, according to the local README, C069_MANIFEST.json and FREEZE_RC7_C069.md. According to the user, this version was published on the linked main domain on September 25, 2026; independent live verification was not possible for this website update. Local artifacts report GLOBAL FULL_CONSISTENCY 14/14, Revision 4 traceability 47/47 and a statically verified PWA precache with 193 entries; these checks were not repeated here. Planned research on delay, observation and time scale (D, Θ, P) is not included in RC7. The central model core remained unchanged from C068. Software testing does not replace empirical validation of the educational models.
